This list is not exhaustive. It covers all the major areas we deal with, but we can't list everything we do, and we are always happy to discuss how we can adapt and tailor our courses, and provide refreshers and 'train-the-trainer' courses, to meet your individual requirements. Beneath the course list you will find an outline for the content of each course: |

Course Outlines:
Confidence Building
Lack of confidence can be a major barrier in so many areas of your life. All of us feel more confident in some situations and less so in others. Find out why, and assess your own current levels of self-confidence. Then move on to a structured approach to developing your confidence in a wide variety of situations, with tools, skills, and plans you can use every day in future to continue your progress.
Learn how to talk to anyone with confidence and assurance, in any situation. It is one of the most powerful skills you could ever possess.

Assertiveness Training
|
A practical course identifying what assertiveness is, what its benefits are, and the barriers to be overcome by a person seeking to be more assertive. Participants then develop a framework for working towards increased assertiveness and developing the skills to deal with conflict and differences of opinion positively, with constructive outcomes. Assertiveness is a skill that continues to grow long after the course has ended, and the structured programme provided here ensures that each participate has the tools they need to continue that process. |

Communication Skills We start communicating the moment we're born (mothers will tell you it starts even sooner!), and we've all continued to do it every day, ever since. So why are some people better at it than others? What makes someone a good communicator? Or a bad one? Could you be better at it than you already are? Are you quiet and reserved? Do you talk over others to impose your own opinion? Or finish their sentences for them? Do people find you intimidating even though you don't intend to be? Or perhaps you seem to send out mixed messages? Do some people just wind you up, get on your nerves, or make no sense to you? What is really happening in these situations? Find the weaknesses in your own communication style, and others, and learn how to overcome them to become an excellent communicator on this entertaining and enlightening course. Negotiation Skills |
What is 'negotiation' and what skills and qualities make a good negotiator? Anyone can learn to negotiate, and all of us do it in a variety of ways every day, whether we've been trained or not. Becoming a skilful negotiator can make a significant difference to your personal effectiveness, at work, socially and on a personal level. You will then learn and practice how to conduct a negotiation successfully and how to analyse and learn from the process afterwards. You will also learn a range of skills and tactics to deal with difficult negotiators, overcome deadlocks and produce genuine 'win-win' outcomes. An ideal companion to this course is our Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution course, below. Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Conflicts and disputes are part of life, personally and occupationally, and learning how to deal with them effectively is an important skill, particularly when a conflict evolves into a confrontation. On this course you will gain an understanding of what conflict is, and how to recognise it early to manage it better. You will learn how people react in a conflict situation and the strategies you can use to produce a positive outcome. A natural course to combine with this one is our Negotiation Skills course.

Here, you will learn the importance of proper planning and preparation, what to take into account and how to do it.
The above courses are classroom-based but interactive, and usually involve a mix of theory, discussion groups and workshops as necessary.
