Our managing director and principal trainer is Phil Lyons. Phil has had a varied career in the world of law enforcement, the security industry and legal practice. As a former head-doorman, police officer and solicitor, he has the perfect background to provide training and guidance on legal skills and related personal security issues.
As a solicitor he specialised in litigation for ten years, and he has been a trainer for ten years. He also holds a black belt in karate; he's a registered self-defence and personal security instructor with the British Combat Association; and he's an instructor with the Urban Krav Maga Association. Urban Krav Maga is a civilian self-defence system derived and adapted from the close-quarter combat system used by the Israeli armed forces.
